Nurses | CNE

Up to 5.25 CNE will be available for designated sessions through UT Austin School of Nursing’s Center for Continuing Professional Development. University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. The sessions are marked with a "N" designation

OTHER

Unfortunately, the registration thresholds required to offer NCCAP and SHRM credits were not met by the March 6 deadline. As a result, LeadingAge Texas will not be providing Continuing Education credits for the following disciplines at this year’s Annual Conference:

• Activity Professionals | NCCAP Due to insufficient interest, we will not be pursuing NCCAP Recertification Provider status or applying for approval to offer 3.75 clock hours for Activity Professionals.
• Human Resources Professionals | SHRM Because we did not receive at least 20 requests for HR credit, we will not be pursuing SHRM Recertification Provider status or offering 3.75 contact hours for HR professionals.

While we are unable to provide these specific CEs this year, we remain committed to supporting your professional development and will continue to assess opportunities for future conferences. Thank you for your understanding!

All Other Professionals

LeadingAge Texas works to provide pre-approved hours for the disciplines in which the association receives the most registrations. Due to the large number of credentialing bodies and professional organizations, it is impossible for LeadingAge Texas to obtain prior approval of conference sessions for all. Additionally, the association is aware that other credentialing bodies do not approve CE providers (BHEC - Social Workers) and therefore cannot provide pre-approved CEs for those disciplines.

Thus, LeadingAge Texas provides Certificates of Attendance within the Professional Development section of attendees' online profiles to all verified attendees, regardless of discipline, who a) follow the sign in-out instructions during each session and b) complete each corresponding evaluation (sent via email). We encourage you to submit detailed information on the sessions attended along with a copy of your Certificate of Attendance to your professional organization for consideration of continuing education credit.

EVALUATIONS & CERTIFICATES OF ATTENDANCE

Links to evaluations will be sent to verified attendees* of a session within two weeks of the date of the session.

*To be considered a verified attendee, you must properly follow the sign-out instructions for each session you attend.

Upon completion of an evaluation, the corresponding session's Certificate of Attendance will be posted to verified attendees’ LeadingAge Texas online profiles in the  Professional Development section.
