LeadingAge members can use Careers in Aging.
People are living longer and populations are aging worldwide. The demand for professionals with expertise in aging is growing rapidly. Careers in Aging Month is a month-long celebration (throughout March 2024) is observed every year by
businesses, clinics, coalitions, organizations, universities, colleges, and other parties across the world— where activities will provide important information about the wide range of professions in the field of aging and aging research, raise awareness
about older populations and their needs, and inform students and the public of the many academic programs available to get one started on a career path.
LeadingAge and LeadingAge Texas are partnering with the Gerontological Society of America, AHCA/NCAL and Argentum on Careers in Aging Month. Raising awareness about the multitude of career opportunities within our field is vital to addressing the current workforce crisis in aging services.
“Raising awareness about the many career opportunities available in our field is crucial to addressing the current workforce crisis in aging services,” said LeadingAge President and CEO Katie Smith Sloan. “Workforce is the single most challenging issue
facing providers today. We're thrilled to be a part of this important effort.”
