September 2024, LeadingAge is participating in #NationalWorkforceDevelopmentMonth -- celebrating our dedicated aging services workforce and supporting its development through new resources.


The rapidly growing field of aging services offers a vast array of job opportunities in all professional areas, from nursing to environmental services and nursing assistants to finance and marketing executives. LeadingAge will mark #NationalWorkforceDevelopmentMonth by supporting members in highlighting the many individuals in their communities who make up our diverse, dedicated aging services workforce.

LeadingAge has created tools to make it easy for members to spotlight the many individuals in their communities dedicated to aging services—a unique field that offers professionals in every area a place to make a difference and grow.

LeadingAge Texas wants to help spotlight your community's shining stars! To do so, please fill out this form or email Julianna with the name, title, image and a short description of the team members you want to highlight.

Share LeadingAge & LeadingAge Texas Posts: The easiest way to participate is to share LeadingAge Texas' posts on FacebookLinkedInInstagram and TwitterBe sure to follow us on social media, tag us, and use the hashtag #NationalWorkforceDevelopmentMonth in your posts.

We’ve created turnkey materials for use by members, but you may also choose to create your own communications. Following is guidance to help you as you develop custom materials:

  • Let your staff shine. Use real, not stock, photos (even if you sacrifice a bit of quality). Authenticity wins!
  • Quote your workforce. They are the authority on their experience.
  • Incorporate video. Videos don’t need to be highly produced. Use short, genuine mobile phone videos to liven up your feed.
  • Use the hashtag #NationalWorkforceDevelopmentMonth. Tag LeadingAge in your Facebook and LinkedIn posts and @LeadingAge on Instagram. We’d love to see and like your posts!
