EIA Scholarships

EXCLUSIVE TO LEADINGAGE TEXAS MEMBERS

EIA (Educational Institute on Aging) scholarships assist LeadingAge Texas members in attending educational events throughout the year including the LeadingAge Texas Annual Conference. All employees of LeadingAge Texas member communities are eligible to apply. Scholarships for the Annual Conference cover the cost of registration and up to a $500 reimbursement for travel expenses. 

LeadingAge Texas strongly believes that opportunities for continuing education and professional growth are vital to retaining quality employees, encouraging future leaders in the field, and providing exceptional service to older Texans throughout the spectrum of care. 

EIA scholarships are supported by proceeds from the Annual Herb Shore Silent Auction & EIA Wine Toss  and the following dedicated funds:

Herb Shore Scholarship Fund
This fund was established in 1991 to honor Dr. Herb Shore and serves to provide scholarships and conference grants.

Linial Scholarships
Established in 2003, this scholarship assists a CNA or nurse aide from a member organization with travel expenses to attend the LeadingAge Texas Annual Meeting.
