*As of September 1, 2020, the regulatory authority over social workers transferred from the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners to the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC), The Social Work Board has proposed repealing the requirements that CE providers be formally approved; if this proposed change is adopted, CE providers will not need to be approved by the Board or renew their approval to provide CE hours. Therefore, at this time, LeadingAge Texas is complying with the following proposed rules:
§781.509.Types of Acceptable Continuing Education.

(and other disciplines not represented above)
note: LeadingAge Texas is not a CE provider through SHRM
Because LeadingAge Texas did not receive a sustainable number of registrants seeking HR credit, the association was unable to justify applying for CE credit for this program. However, the association has noted with an "HR" designation which sessions it deems suitable for HR professionals and encourages participants to use their Certificates of Attendance for these corresponding sessions to submit to their certification body for CE approval.
All other professionals are encouraged to submit detailed information on the sessions attended along with a copy of your Certificate of Successful Completion to your professional organization for consideration of continuing education credit. Due to the large number of credentialing bodies and professional organizations, it is impossible for LeadingAge Texas to obtain prior approval of conference sessions for each of them.
