Dear Members, Before gathering this week with family and friends for good eats, the LeadingAge Texas team would like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. While the holidays represent different things for us all, they are often a time for reflection and remembrance, gathering with loved ones, and embracing and celebrating tradition. We honor the rich diversity of backgrounds at all our member communities, where we value and respect each other's uniqueness while recognizing the similarities of our respective missions–caring for and advocating for seniors across Texas. It is this commonality that drew each of us to LeadingAge Texas in the first place. I would like to acknowledge the tremendous strain we've all been under: ongoing pandemic struggles, national political and societal conflict, and the anxiety of returning to what many term "the new normal." Despite these challenges, the noble work you do, and the work your association does to support you, never stops. The LeadingAge Texas board and staff are already diving into the new year–finalizing a strategic plan, preparing for the Texas Legislative Session, refining member programs, and creating opportunities to develop members through education, leadership programs, and networking. With cooperation, input, and support from you, our dedicated members, LeadingAge Texas has served as a place to learn and grow, to seek and find solutions, and to serve as a sounding board and collaboration center. During this season of gratitude, we also thank our 2022 Partners & Sponsors for their support this year. LeadingAge Texas' programs, events, and resources are elevated because of their involvement in our industry. If you speak to members of any of our sponsoring organizations, please take a moment to let them know you appreciate their support. We express our sincere thanks for all you do. Here’s to a bright and vibrant future–we will get there together! Wishing you and all you love and serve a Happy Thanksgiving and a joyous holiday season. Sincerely,

George Linial, CAE President & CEO, LeadingAge Texas
