Matthew Currie, Vice President of Operations of MRC Crestview, and your LeadingAge Texas Heart of Texas Network Representative will complete his maximum term in May. Matthew has been a tremendous asset to the Board of Directors and essential in representing our members of the Heart of Texas Network. While we are losing an integral part of the LeadingAge Texas Board of Directors we are excited for new leadership in the association. With that being said, we are happy to announce a nomination has been made for Lance Allen, Nursing Facility Administrator with Lutheran Sunset Ministries in Clifton to fill the open LeadingAge Texas Board of Directors position for the Heart of Texas Network Representative. Lance Allen has been with Lutheran Sunset Ministries as the Nursing Facility Administrator since 2014. Before joining the Ministry at Lutheran Sunset, Lance served as the Nursing Facility Administrator at King’s Manor Methodist Retirement System in Hereford, Texas for 2.5 years. He has spent the better part of a decade happily serving the needs of older adults in healthcare settings. Lance considers it his absolute purpose to ensure the highest level of well-being for the residents he serves. He looks forward to honorably serving older adults for many more years. Lance is licensed in the state of Texas as a Nursing Facility Administrator (LNFA). He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree and a Master of Science, Management & Leadership Degree from Tarleton State University. When Lance is not working, you can find him tending to livestock on his ranch, traveling the world, or spending time with family and friends. We are confident Lance will do an exceptional job representing the Heart of Texas Network. Please consider this to be your official notice of nomination. Any discussion should be directed to the association by Thursday, April 8 otherwise Lance Allen will be elected as your Heart of Network Representative.
