Cheryl Harding, President/CEO of James L. West Alzheimer's Center, and your LeadingAge Texas North Texas Network Representative will complete her maximum term in May. Cheryl has been a tremendous asset to the Board of Directors and essential in representing our members of the North Texas Network. While Cheryl will no longer be a Network Representative, we are excited she has accepted the nomination to take on a new role as secretary of the executive committee. With that being said, we are happy to announce a nomination has been made for Kris Awtrey, Executive Vice President of Presbyterian Manor Inc. in Wichita Falls to fill the open LeadingAge Texas Board of Directors position for the North Texas Network Representative. Kris Awtrey has been with Presbyterian Manor Inc. as the Executive Vice President since 2017. Before assuming the role of Executive VP he served as the Administrator at Presbyterian Manor's sister facility, Earle W. Crawford House of Hope for 2 years. He has spent the last 6 years building relationships with his treasured residents and staff members. He truly believes that quality of care comes first. He views his position as an absolute honor, as he cares for seniors in this season of life. He looks forward to serving the senior population for many years to come. Kris Awtrey's credentials include: Licensed Nursing Facility Administrator (LNFA) and Home Health Administrator. He also has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from Midwestern State University. On the weekends you'll find him at the soccer fields coaching his kids preschool soccer teams. We are confident Kris will do an exceptional job representing the North Texas Network. Please consider this to be your official notice of nomination. Any discussion should be directed to the association by Tuesday, March 23, 2021 otherwise Kris Awtrey will be elected as your North Network Representative.
