The new Requirements of Participation for Nursing Homes represent the greatest change in practice & care delivery since the revised rules of 1991. The final version of the CMS Requirements of Participation was released on October 4, with Phase I of implementation taking effect on November 28, 2016. The rule incorporates significant changes affecting operations across multiple departments in any Medicare facility. Join us for Part 5 of the Deep Dive Series to learn more about the requirements of the QAPI section throughout the three implementation phases, best practices for compliance, and resources available to communities.

What's happening?

Part 5 of the Deep Dive Series focuses on the requirements for the establishment and maintenance of a QAPI program focusing on systems of care, outcomes of care, and quality of life. Implementation of the various provisions of the section span the three phases, beginning in November 2016.
