2017 Public Policy Workshop & Capitol Day

Bring your board members! Bring your staff! Bring your community! We must establish a strong voice for not-for-profit aging services in the 85th Legislature. With new leadership, your attendance & participation in our advocacy efforts is crucial. The Legislature needs your expertise & guidance on long-term care issues. LeadingAge Texas members will storm the Capitol to spread our message to our lawmakers.

Monday's Public Policy Workshop will feature speakers and presentations from HHSC Executives and Texas lawmakers who are focused on issues that will dominate this legislative session. LeadingAge Texas staff will be on hand to discuss our legislative priorities, specific issues, and how to lobby legislators at the Capitol on the following day. Tuesday will begin with a breakfast at the Capitol Grill. Legislators, staff, and agency officials will be invited to meet with attendees. Following the breakfast, LeadingAge Texas members will meet with legislators and their staff across the Capitol.

CONTINUING EDUCATION
Administrators & Assisted Living Managers: This program has been submitted (but not yet approved) for Continuing Education for 2.5 total clock hours from NAB/NCERS. Contact LeadingAge Texas for further information.

Registration Cancellation Policy: All registrations are fully transferable at any time. Cancellations must be received no later than January 9 for a full refund, less a $25 processing fee. Refunds will not be provided after January 9.
