A TIME FOR REFLECTION
As another year draws to a close most of you are in the midst of preparations for this festive season. This is a very special time of the year as it gives people a break from the hustle and bustle of our everyday work schedules, providing many of us with time to enjoy the company of family and friends that is all too often missed during the rest of the year. I urge each and every one of you to reflect on these special moments and savor the relationships you hold most dear. At that same time, while keeping with the spirit of this joyous season, it is equally important to consider those who are struggling with health and other issues and keep them in our thoughts and our prayers.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at LeadingAge Texas for the tremendous effort they put in day in and day out to ensure that our members are well taken care of. Many of the demands placed on our staff go unseen, but their work is greatly appreciated.

To the LeadingAge Texas and EIA Board members, my staff and I thank you for your dedication to the success of our association and for your tremendous input to the proper governance of our organization. I also wish to acknowledge the participation of those who serve on our committees and peer groups, those involved in advocacy efforts, and all other involved members. Your commitment and endless hours of volunteer time to make sure members are provided with opportunities to continue learning, to network and socialize with other aging services and housing professionals is most appreciated.

Lastly, to all the members, my sincere appreciation for your support of LeadingAge Texas and the pride you hold for the work you do in your communities. It is truly an honor for me and all of the staff to serve you.
