ABOUT THE SERIES

The new Requirements of Participation for Nursing Homes represent the greatest change in practice and care delivery since the revised rules of 1991. The final version of the CMS Requirements of Participation was released on October 4, with Phase I of implementation taking effect on November 28, 2016. The rule incorporates significant changes affecting operations across multiple departments in any Medicare facility.

Every other week, beginning November 3, we'll join content experts who will take us on a deep dive of the new CMS Final Rule, its implementation timelines, and its potential impact on your community. Each part will feature a live one-hour webinar + an opportunity for Q&A with the speakers following the presentation.

From a regulatory standpoint, CMS has included requirements for development of an effective infection control program in all facilities, with implementation deadlines throughout the three phases.
