LeadingAge Texas’ Leadership Collective is a community designed for mission-driven leaders to pursue growth, explore self-development, create connections, and feel empowered to lead as impactful change agents within the aging services field.

The Leadership Collective includes:

  • Four in-person classes
    • Each class is two days, spending each day at a different LeadingAge Texas member organization complete with a community tour
  • Access to a faculty of expert-level leaders in the field 
  • Access to a cohort of participants dedicated to their personal growth and leadership development
  • A course project designed to help the participant make an impact within their organization

  • Class 1: January 16 & 17 in Houston
  • Class 2: February 20 - 21 in San Antonio
  • Class 3: March 20 - 21 in DFW
  • Class 4: April 17 - 18 in Austin
  • 2025 Leadership Collective Summit*: May 18 in Austin
    • *This new event is:
      • kicking off the new Leadership Collective Masterclass program
      • exclusive to the current Leadership Collective Cohort, Leadership Collective/Institute Alumni, Boards of Directors for LeadingAge Texas & EIA, along with C-suite leadership members and Gold+ sponsors
      • inclusive of the current Leadership Collective Cohort's presentations
      • held at The Renaissance Austin Hotel the day before the 2025 Annual Conference & Solutions EXPO

Faculty

Nicole Gann, EIA Board Chair and President & CEO of Juliette Fowler Communities will serve as the program's facilitator, walking alongside the participants throughout the experience to mentor, guide, teach, and yes, to sometimes graciously challenge. 

Additional faculty will join Nicole at various points throughout the program to expertly speak on and engage the participants in each of the learning objectives.

Content & Materials

Participants will have books, articles, videos, and podcasts assigned throughout the Collective . . . all to ground them in the thematic programming and enhance their learning and experience.

Over the course of the Leadership Collective, the participants will experience nine learning objectives throughout two concurrent themes, Mindset & Influence.

 

Tuition & Expenses

Tuition for the 2025 Leadership Collective is $2,600. Payment will be due upon a participant’s acceptance into the program and includes registration and administrative fees for:

  • All four class sessions and related activities
  • The 2025 Leadership Collective Summit
  • A one-year membership to the Leadership Collective Masterclass (launching at the Summit)

NOTE: Tuition does not include travel nor hotel accommodations for each of the four classes. Thus, these and other related expenses are the responsibility of participant’s employer/sponsoring organization.

Good-to-Know Before Submitting 

In addition to standard contact information, the application will require the following components:

  • Intro Video |Submit a 90-second (or less) video to help us get to know you! Upload it via Google Drive.
    • Video Content | Simply answer a few of the questions below, or feel free to get creative and go your own way.
      • What drew you to aging services?
      • What will it be like for your prospective fellow Collective participants having you in the Collective?
      • What's something unique/special you'd like the selection committee & your prospective fellow Collective participants to know about you?
      • Where are you on your self-development journey? Where do you want to be?
      • What do you hope to gain from the Collective?
    • Some things to keep in mind:
      • We’re not asking for a formulaic response; we want to know who you are!
      • Be yourself! You’re the best at that!
      • This doesn't have to be fancy; feel free to use your phone & keep it simple.
  • Written Narrative | Within the application, you'll be asked to describe something within the aging services field that you feel passionate about and would like to dedicate time to learning more about; how can you, as a leader in the field, work to make progress toward addressing this issue?
  • Two References | You'll provide names and contact information for two references who must be:
    • Current or former colleagues and/or leaders with whom you work/have worked
    • Expected to be contacted by LeadingAge Texas and asked:
      • to speak to what it's like to work alongside you
      • to provide insight into why they believe the Leadership Collective is the next right step in your personal development journey.
  • Agreement to Terms | In addition to the applicant's agreement, the applicant must ensure their employer/sponsoring organization agrees to its sponsoring terms via a separate form.
