C. C. Young Announces Winners of 2018 Spirit is Ageless Art & Writing Contest

DALLASApril 23, 2018 – CC Young announced the winners of the 19th annual Spirit is Ageless Art & Writing Contest. The Awards & Celebration event was held Saturday, April 21, 2018, at The Point & Pavilion on the CC Young campus.  The event recognized every participating artist and awards were given to the top three winners in 19 categories, as well as two Best in Show and the Celebrating Ageless Creativity award for most senior participant in the show.

All participants were age 55 and better, with the most senior participant at 101 years of age. The Spirit is Ageless Art & Writing Contest continues to be one of CC Young’s most popular events among residents and the general public. The 2018 contest saw 189 submissions from 135 participants in over 19 categories. Art submitted will be on display in CC Young’s gallery at The Point & Pavilion through Sunday, April 29, 2018, for the public to view and enjoy.

“Each year we celebrate ageless creativity, featuring the talent and potential of all participants. It was our great pleasure to showcase our community neighbors and CC Young residents on Saturday. We were thrilled to have Artist and Gallery Owner JD Miller as our featured speaker,” said Denise Aver-Phillips, Vice President of Community Outreach at CC Young.
