Georgetown, Texas: Non-profit senior living and healthcare provider Wesleyan Homes, Inc., announced this week that Sean Buelow has been named Administrator for The Wesleyan at Scenic. The Wesleyan at Scenic provides the highest levels of healthcare within Wesleyan Homes’ communities of care. Levels of care at the 178-bed facility include skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation services, and memory care.

“We are thrilled to welcome Sean to the Wesleyan family during such a significant time of growth,” says Wesleyan Homes President and CEO Mark Lenhard. “His experience in both the for-profit and faith-based, not-for-profit senior care and services is just the right balance for the delicate complexities of the ministry at Scenic. Sean is fiercely dedicated to serving residents and their families, and our team is pleased to share his enthusiasm for a healthy teammate culture.”

Buelow’s passion for providing long-term care to seniors began while volunteering at a local facility as an undergraduate at Baylor University. His volunteer experience with the seniors made such an impact on him that he continued his education at Baylor and completed his Masters in Gerontology.

Since then Buelow has garnered over two decades of executive experience in various capacities that lend valuable insight into the full continuum of senior care. Buelow’s proven acuity for administration and unique relational approach make him a strong choice to lead Wesleyan at Scenic, which has been serving Central Texas for forty years.

On being named Administrator, Buelow expressed, “I am grateful to serve in this loving and welcoming community, and look forward to growing with the Wesleyan ministry.”

Sean has served as part of the Public Policy Committee for LeadingAge Texas, a trade association for not-for-profit aging care, services, and housing providers, and is listed among Administrators of the Year by the Texas Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.

Who We Are: Located in beautiful Georgetown Texas, Wesleyan Homes is a faith-based not-for-profit established by the Central Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church in 1962 to create a retirement home for seniors. Today, Wesleyan Homes is a continuum of care provider offering Retirement Living, Assisted Living, Long-term Care, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, Rehabilitation, Home Health, Hospice and Personal Care Services.
