C. C. Young Art Gallery Show
Wednesday, February 28 through Monday, March 26, 2018
Gallery Hours: 6:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Daily
C. C. Young will be sharing “Escapades in Fiber” presented by Dallas Area Fiber Artists (DAFA). The show will be on display in The Gallery at The Point at C. C. Young. This event is free and open to the general public.

Beyond Books – The Inexplicable Universe: Unsolved Mysteries
Friday, March 2, 2018, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Join C. C. Young for a deep discussion on The Inexplicable Universe and its unsolved mysteries! This is one of “The Great Courses“ Video Book Series. The event will be hosted at The Point at C. C. Young. Refreshments will be provided. This event is free and open to the general public.

MEET! East Dallas Business Networking Event
Tuesday, March 6, 2018, 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

5 Organizations… thousands of opportunities. Mix and mingle with approximately 300 East Dallas friends, neighbors, and business owners. The event will include raffle prizes, a cash bar, and food generously donated by some of East Dallas’ finest eateries. Pay $5 cash at the door to enter which benefits White Rock Center of Hope. Complimentary valet parking is available. The event will take place at The Point at C. C. Young. This event is open to the general public.

Getting to Know: Erma Thomson
Tuesday, March 13, 2018, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

C. C. Young resident and former Chicago journalist Don Michel will interview good friend and C. C. Young resident Erma Thomson. Join the conversation and learn about Erma’s experiences serving as Executive Assistant to Dallas’ own, Mary Kay Ash, founder of Mary Kay Cosmetics. The discussion will take place in The Point at C. C. Young. This event is free and open to the general public.

Celebrating Women’s History Month: “She Believed She Could, So She Did!”
Friday, March 16, 2018, 3:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Help C. C. Young celebrate Women’s History Month with special guests that include Dallas Police Chief Renee Hall, Veritex Bank Sr. Vice President of Community Development and Greater East Dallas Chamber of Commerce Chairman Darlene Ellison, and Vanessa Serrano of the City of Farmers Branch and The Texas Leadership Forum. Meet the Author - Grit Under My Nails: A Memoir In Three Acts

Hear the story of one Lakewood woman who had never heard of dense breast tissue until doctors told her she had it – and cancer. Salmeron is now making sure no woman suffers a similar fate. Learn how she is working with women on a national level to pass federal legislation informing women of risks associated with dense breast tissue. The conversation will take place in The Point at C. Illumination Manuscripts by James Pepper
Thursday, March 22, 2018, 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

You could call James Pepper a modern day scribe or a Bible Art Illumination Artist. He’s taken up quill and ink to reproduce the Bible by hand and he will be at C. C. Young to talk about his project. Pepper is believed to be one of the few who have reproduced the Bible this way in the past 500 years. The event will take place in The Point at C. C. Young. 2018 Spirit is Ageless Art & Writing Contest CALL FOR ENTRIES
Tuesday, March 27, 2018 & Wednesday, March 28, 2018, 7:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m

Easter Sunday Worship Services
Sunday, April 1, 2018, 7:00 a.m. & 11:30 a.m.

C. C. Young invites you to join us at The Point for Easter Sunday Worship Service. All faiths are welcome! The 7:30 a.m. service will be held outside under The Pavilion at C. C. Young, weather permitting. The 11:30 a.m. service will be held in The Point Auditorium at C. C. Young. This event is free and open to the general public.

International Concert Pianist Gustavo Romero
Sunday, April 1, 2018, 3:30 p.m.

Do not miss the chance to enjoy Romero’s award-winning classical piano performance. The performance will be held at The Point at C. C. Young. This family-friendly event is free and open to the general public.
