89th Texas Legislative Session
This session LeadingAge Texas will lead the conversation advocating for: enhancing care for the elderly by preserving the Nursing Home Direct Care Staff Rate Enhancement, protecting property tax exemptions for charitable organizations, ensuring transparency in state funds for nursing homes, and modernizing the CCRC statute. We will also advocate for initiatives to rebuild the long-term care workforce, ease regulatory burdens, oppose any new bed tax affecting seniors, and continue defending tort reform to ensure access to quality care.
