RAC-CT® Certification Workshop

Join us July 16-18, 2019 for this 3-day, in-person, training course! Constantly reviewed and updated by a team of experts, the Resident Assessment Coordinator—Certified (RAC-CT) program ensures your knowledge of clinical assessment and care planning, completion of the MDS, and the regulatory body surrounding the RAI/MDS process. In that vein, this workshop will incorporate a PDPM course (while eliminating the PPS and RUGs IV courses).

      3-DAY COURSE:

      • Navigate tough coding dilemmas with the most current coding and regulatory knowledge
      • Recover reimbursement and avoid over payment by knowing where to find important MDS data
      • Proactively solve quality pitfalls by recognizing the clues reflected in your Quality Measure and Five Star reports
      • Uncover unique solutions that honor resident preference by synthesizing MDS, CAA, and care plan data into individualized interventions
      • Earn respect in your facility by proving that you are dedicated, capable, and knowledgeable
      • Gain confidence that will enable you to take a leadership role in resident care



      Carol Hill MSN, RN, RAC-MT, DNS-MT, QCP-MT, CPC

      Carol Hill is president and primary consultant for Hill Educational Services Inc., a Long Term Care consulting and training company. Carol is a graduate of the University of North Alabama, where shereceived her Master’s Degree in Nursing in the teaching learning track.

      For over 25 years she has been involved in the long term care industry having worked as an MDS coordinator, DON, ADON, case review expert, quality resource specialist, and consultant/trainer. She is a Resident Assessment Coordinator-Master Teacher, Director of Nursing Services-Certified Master Teacher, QAPI Certified Professional-Master Teacher, AHIMA Approved ICD-10-CM Trainer and Certified Professional Coder. She has conducted MDS 3.0 training throughout the United States and has been a contributor to articles on the Minimum Data Set and Prospective Payment System.

      Nursing Continuing Education Hours
      The American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN*) is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. The RAC-CT 3-day workshop is approved for 22.5 CEs.

      AAPACN* works in conjunction with the National Association of Long-Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) to provide nursing home administrators with continuing education credit for any AANAC workshop attended.
      *The American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN) is the parent organization to AANAC.

      Completion Requirements

      CEs for the three-day workshop are based upon actual classroom attendance for the duration of the scheduled educational activity verified through sign-in sheets. If a student must leave before the activity is schedule to end or is late arriving, he/she will not receive full CE credit. Partial credit may be awarded. Each attendee, based on sign-in sheets/attendance, will receive the CE certificate upon completion of the education activity. The final certification exams are not a requirement for claiming a CE certification for the workshop.

      The 3-day certification course will be held at The Wesleyan at Estrella in Georgetown, Texas. Light refreshments will be served, however lunch is not included in the registration fee
